How does ticket return insurance work?

What is ticket return insurance?

This insurance will reimburse you for the cost of tickets purchased according to the Insurance Terms & Conditions of Europäische Reiseversicherung AG. Insurance can only be taken out when the tickets are ordered. Unfortunately, this is not possible later on.

How can I take out insurance?

During the ordering process, you can take out insurance by clicking on "Ticket return insurance" in the shopping cart. In the next window, select the entrance tickets in the shopping cart that require insurance.
If you then return to the shopping cart, the costs for the insurance and the new total amount will be displayed.

What do I do in the case of a claim?

If an insured occurrence occurs, please send the following documentation to the address given below:

  • A brief letter with your current bank details
  • The original tickets for reimbursement (or hard copies of the tickets in case of ticketdirect orders)
  • Hard copy of the order confirmation email
  • The receipt delivered with the tickets
  • A medical certificate with diagnosis and treatment data or other confirmation in accordance with §9 (e.g., medical certificate) of the Insurance conditions.
After the documentation has been checked, the value of the tickets will be transferred to your stated account.
