Amal Salem performs as mal sounds, a Brooklyn dream pop project born from five months stranded in Valencia as the world shut down.
Amal’s debut album, Don’t Hold Your Broth, is a slow exhale. It melds hazy guitars layers and noisy ambience with a pop sensibility Amal has honed since his 2021 debut with Terrible Records, Freaks and Wild Things.
Across eleven tracks of slowcore, trip hop & ambient texture, Don’t Hold Your Breath wanders through stories about childhood, self-acceptance & love, taking the scenic route. The record is set for release Sept 25th, 2026.
TALIA is a Caribbean-American artist and musician based in Brooklyn. Blending acoustic and electronic sounds, she builds dreamy, cinematic worlds with her intimate lyrics and lush, ethereal voice. Her sound lives between the organic and the digital, both cathartic and kinetic.
che ali (aka. Che Buford) is an experimental interdisciplinary artist based in New York City. Che primarily performs and creates music as a violinist and composer while also integrating objects, voice, movement and poetry. Their practice often deals with themes around memory, place and the quotidian. Their work is deeply interested in the exposure of timbral details, resonance, introspection, interiority and starkness.
