miaw (DK/NL) is a cross-pop duo performing a uk-bass-inspired deconstructed club music that makes your thoughts drift towards Sega Bodega, Body Meat, and james K, while blending into the field of shoegaze and ‘90s trip-hop.
Consisting of Frederik Bruun and Liza Dries from Denmark and the Netherlands, the two producers use fast breakbeats, arpeggiated synthesizers, and unorthodox sampling techniques to create a sound at the intersection of a remix and a pop song.
Following their debut EP, ‘My Petswan’ (Petrola 80 - Astrid Sonne, Lyra Valenza), their self-released new single ‘moving in’ is already making waves, reaching the 100k+ streams already in its first week, and being picked up by P6 Beat (DK), Nina Protocol (Staff Picks) (US), The Needle Drop (US), HighClouds Magazine (BE), TURTLENEK (DE), Mondosonoro (ES), 808 Radio (ES), Pamplona Actual (ES), and DCL Kultur (ES). With their next longer release coming up in fall ‘26.
