Seldom Sober Company haben wir jetzt das dritte Mal erlebt. Die Band ist wirklich gut, ihre kleinen Späßchen zwischendurch lockern den Abend auf, aber leider - so war unser Eindruck - passen Band und Ort nicht zusammen. Die als Konzerthalle umgebaute Ulrichkirche in Halle und besonders die Burg Giebichenstein (im Sommer) eignen sich hierfür viel besser. Vielleicht lag es an der Raumtemperatur, die uns frösteln ließ.
Also, beides können wir empfehlen: Band und Peterskirche, nur nicht zusammen.
Abwechslungsreiche, stimmungs- und humorvolle Darbietung mit unterschiedlichen Folkelementen. Mitreißende stimmliche und instrumentalische (von Gitarre, Banjo über Kontrabass und Geige bis zu Dudelsack und sogar Steel-Guitar) Interpretation. Wir sind "Wiederholungstäter" und kommen gern wieder zur nächsten Irish Christmas mit der Seldom Sover Company.
