The Coathangers sind eine Frauen-Punk-Band aus Atlanta.
Geschichte
Die Band gründete sich 2006 und spielte zum Spaß auf einer Haus-Party. Daraufhin wurden sie von ebenfalls aus Atlanta stammenden Punk-Band The Hiss als Vorband angefragt. Zuletzt tourten The Coathangers als Vorband von Trail of Dead durch Europa.
Der Name ist laut Band ein sarkastischer Hinweis auf den Kleiderbügel als Mittel zum Schwangerschaftsabbruch.
Hi, ich sehe echt viele Konzerte, aber die Coathangers waren dieses Jahr mein bestes Konzert. Max. 200 Leute, super Stimmung und die 3 Frauen haben echt gerockt... schaut auf YouTube.
Großartige Band in stimmungsvoller Location

Ich kannte die Band vorher schon, meine Begleitung nicht und wir waren beide vollends begeistert vom Konzert. Die Mädels können echt spielen - auch die Instrumente der jeweils anderen. Hat unglaublich viel Freude gemacht dabei gewesen zu sein. Auch die Nochtwache ist als Veranstaltungsort zu empfehlen, sehr familiäre Atmosphäre und die Drinks sind klasse!
