Schloss Kaltenberg ist mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut zu erreichen, da der Bahnhof Geltendorf nur wenige Kilometer von Kaltenberg entfernt ist und Anschluss zur S-Bahn und zu Regionalzügen hat.
Ab dem Bahnhof Geltendorf (Bushaltestelle Nord) fährt ein kostenpflichtiger Linien-Shuttle-Bus im 15-Minuten Takt nach Kaltenberg und zurück.
Anfahrt per Auto über die A96 München -Lindau, Ausfahrt Windach/Eresing oder die B17 aus Augsburg bzw. Füssen kommend. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden.
